navigation, positioning and tracking

We have over 20 years experience in the field of Navigation and Positioning.

Our high-accuracy positioning systems using satellite navigation have been used worldwide by major oil and gas exploration companies and we continue to develop advanced algorithms for ever-better performance.

Our expertise gained from using GPS has allowed us to actively participate in major satellite navigation programs. Our algorithms can be found at the core of European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS), and we have been active in the definition of the European Galileo satellite navigation system. We are also working closely with ESA on the design and validation of the Galileo navigation signals. We have built a Galileo RF constellation simulator (GSVF) that will allow the Galileo signals and receivers to be completely validated.

Navigation Positioning and Tracking

New technologies are allowing the development of positioning systems for environments not covered by satellite navigation. Our Ultra Wide Band developments allow positioning indoors with unprecedented accuracy. This technology is now being developed for specific applications with the emergency services, and to improve health and safety in critical infrastructures.

Integration of different types of navigation sensors is required to allow accurate positioning of autonomous vehicles - either underwater or in the air. We have been developing the algorithms to allow different sensor suites to be evaluated in these applications. The integrated Navigation test-bed is a complete simulator that allows the evaluation of sensor and algorithm performance, mission planning and development of novel collaborative working for autonomous vehicles.
